When you are trying to decide where to eat at Walt Disney World, it might be more difficult than you think. Walt Disney World Theme Parks

Magic Kingdom

Based on the original Disneyland in California, this is first and most popular park of the complex. You can see this with the park having over 17 million visitors annually. This is the park people think of first when they think of Walt Disney World, a place where adventure meets fantasy and history meets the future. The Magic Kingdom has the most kid friendly and where you will find the classic rides beloved by kids of all ages.

Epcot

Sort of "permanent World's Fair", Epcot is dedicated to both international culture and technological innovation. World Showcase will take you to eleven different countries in one afternoon. You will learn about their culture, architecture, people, etc. Future World will give you insight to human achievements and show us how we can use our imaginations, teach us conservation, and more. Not far from Epcot is Disney's Boardwalk, a collection of restaurants, gift shops, and nightlife that is themed with the 1920's Eastern Seaboard boardwalk.

Disney's Hollywood Studios

This park represents the "Hollywood that never was". The attractions here are all based on movies and television. You'll find a nice variety of live shows and attractions based on Disney, Pixar, and Lucasfilm productions. The ESPN Wide World of Sports complex is also nearby.

Disney's Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom has the feeling of a zoo and a theme park. Animal Kingdom is a very unique park with live animal exhibits along with amusement rides.

Downtown Disney

Downtown Disney has numerous shops, nightclubs, restaurants, and unique entertainment. Downtown Disney Marketplace has several shopping and eating establishments and is geared towards family. The West Side is home to AMC Theatres, House of Blues, and the exclusive Cirque du Soleil show La Nouba.

Disney Water Parks Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach

If you need to take some time to cool down from the hot Florida sun, Disney makes that place too! Typhoon Lagoon is one of the most visited water parks in the world. Typhoon Lagoon opened in 1989 and houses the world's largest outdoor wave pool. The theme of the park is a "Disney legend" of a typhoon that wreaked havoc upon a pristine tropical paradise. Ships, fishing gear and surfboards are all thrown about haphazardly where the storm left them. The centerpiece of the park is "Miss Tilly," a shrimp boat impaled upon a mountain named "Mount Mayday" that erupts a 50-foot (15 m) geyser of water each half hour, appropriate before the bells of the watch sound on Miss Tilly.

So, what does Disney do when they have essentially the most visited water park? Well, they build a second one, Blizzard Beach, which is now the second most visited around the world. The park, which opened in 1995, has a theme of a freak snowstorm coming to the region, bringing the construction of Florida's first "ski resort". Naturally, the snow didn't last, leaving behind a collection of waterlogged but snow-less ski jumps and chair lifts. Disney legend says, after an alligator was seen sliding down a flume and splashing into a pool of water, screaming "Yahoo!", the "ski resort" was reborn as a water park, with the alligator (named "Ice Gator") as mascot.

Walt Disney World Golf

Walt Disney World Resort has four 18 hole golf courses. Their names are the Palm, the Magnolia, Lake Buena Vista and Osprey Ridge. Each golf course ranks from 4 stars to 4 1/2 stars. There is also a nine-hole walking course called Oak Trail. This course is designed for younger generation.

Miniature Golf Disney's Fantasia Gardens and Winter Summerland

Fantasia Gardens and Winter Summerland are the miniature golf courses within Walt Disney Resort property. Each one contains two separate 18 hole courses for a grand total of 4 courses.
