Cinderella, Rapunzel, Ariel, Belle and Tiana are all characters that have captured the hearts of young Disney movie fans. They might be the love interest of a dashing hero, or could be the leading woman herself in one Disney's animated hits. In "Disney Princess: My Fairytale Adventure," players will get to enter the enchanting worlds of their favorite Princess and use a magic wand to help undo a spell that's been cast over the kingdoms. The game should appeal to fans almost any ages, as they play as an apprentice to the Fairy Godmother and explore all of the Princess worlds. They'll be able to interact with familiar characters, such as Lumiere, Pascal, Flounder, Gus and other fan favorites who will help guide them through missions and progress though the game.
One of the interesting aspects of the game is customizing your avatar and room in the Fairy Godmother’s Castle which you can do so by utilizing gems. The gems are earned throughout the game and are later traded for items in the “Wishing Well” store. A wide range of items such as outfits, accessories and tiaras can be purchased to dress up your avatar. This results in having the ability to create hundreds of different combinations. There are even special items such as floor patterns, wallpaper and furniture that can be used to personalize and build out each player’s room in the Castle.
In the actual gameplay, you work as an apprentice to help the Fairy Godmother break a spell that has been cast over each of the Princesses enchanted worlds. You provide this help by using a magic wand to break the spell. During your journey, you will have the opportunity to meet and interact with Belle, Tiana, Cinderella, Rapunzel and Ariel in each of their own worlds. These various worlds include amazing locations like the Beast's castle and Rapunzel's tower to name a few of our favorites. You'll also run into some of your favorite characters such as Lumiere, Pascal and Flounder in each of the areas. The game is not too difficult to play, which should make it enjoyable to even little ones and they'll have some extra fun with the included mini games. The cartoon style graphics (see the trailer below) and sound effects are about what you would expect, with neither being out of place for a title that was designed with young children in mind. The game is available on the Wii, Nintendo 3DS and Windows PC / Mac on September 25, 2012. The Wii is a great platform for such a title, and while we didn't take the 3DS version for a spin, we're sure that a portable version should play rather nicely. It was great to see a PC and Mac version of this game, as it appears they are forgotten with so many current titles. We'd recommend this game and believe it should provide several hours of fun and entertainment for the younger girls in any family. Game Trailer
