Lots of fun changes are coming to the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland. Earlier this year, La Brea Bakery Café began a big refurbishment of its current location including expanding the restaurant’s footprint, creating a new exhibition bakery, adding a new kitchen in the express area, and placing an awning over the outdoor seating in the full-service dining section, according to Janet Knox, General Manager of the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland.

The café will feature menu items inspired by La Brea Bakery’s founder, Nancy Silverton. From double-dipped French toast and fontina strata at breakfast to burgers, salads, panini and authentic Italian focaccias made fresh throughout the day, the focus will be on fresh, healthy and flavorful foods. The restaurant will remain open during the refurbishment through mid-March, and will reopen its doors with a fresh new look in April.

Now, more good news! Earl of Sandwich is moving into Downtown Disney as well next to AMC Theatres. With its signature hot sandwiches, soups, salads, wraps and desserts, Earl of Sandwich is a must do! Breakfast sandwiches and pastries will be available in the morning and a variety of catering options will be offered at this location. This will be the only location of this chain in California. Guests of Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Paris have been enjoying the restaurant for years.

 

Also in the works, the Lego Store will be moving into a temporary location, so as to remodel the existing space. Guests will enjoy a brand-new interactive outdoor play area, play areas inside the store, and exciting new large-scale LEGO models located on the inside and outside of the store when the remodel is completed.
