Stefanie Scott was born in on December 6, 1996, in Chicago, Illinois, but her family moved to Melbourne, Florida, when she was six. Stefanie began her acting career at an early age, she was only eight when she appeared in a production of Annie. She continued to find work in commercials, theater productions, print ads and live vocal performances in Florida until she relocated to Los Angeles.
Stefanie easily crosses over from television to movies. A promising young artist, she has worked in several challenging projects both on film and television and has been helmed by some of the most talented film directors in Hollywood. Her first film credit was Universal Picture's made-for-TV comedy Beethoven’s Big Break (2008). She later appeared in Rob Reiner's feature film Flipped (2010), a film adaptation of Wendelin Van Draanen book of the same name. Most recently, she was cast as the younger Emma, a character portrayed by Natalie Portman, in Ivan Reitman film No Strings Attached (2011).
On television Stefanie voiced the character Emma in Special Agent Oso, a Disney animated TV series which premiered in April of 2009. She has also guest starred in several other TV shows including Fox’s Sons of Tucson, NBC’s Chuck and CBS’s The New Adventures of Old Christine. At present, Stefanie stars in A.N.T. Farm, a Disney Channel Original Series (about a musical prodigy who joins a program for gifted artists in a local high school). Watch for Miss Scott to be seen in the upcoming DCOM, "Frenemies," in her role as Julianne.
Her acting has already been recognized when she earned two nominations for a Young Artists Award in 2009 and another one in 2010 for her guest appearance in The New Adventures of Old Christine.
Aside from acting, Stefanie has been working on her music career. She sings "Pose" on the A.N.T. Farm Soundtrack, and her single, "The Girl I Used To Know," is a fun, catchy tune that really showcases Stefanie's talent!
But it’s not just all work for Stefanie. On her free time she loves to ride horses. She is also an avid lover of animals. She also keeps busy with charity work as a way of giving back to the community. She currently supports Girls Up, CHOC (Childrens Hospital of Orange County), and The Hollywood Arts Foundation. She is also sending a young Zimbabwe girl to school through World Visions.
Aside from her family, she now enjoys the company of her pets which includes Mocha, a Chihuahua, and Frosty, a Bijon, as well as two cats named Pumpkin and Tinkerbelle.
