Actor Spencer Boldman was born Spencer Thomas Boldman on July 28, 1992, in Dallas, Texas, and was raised in the Plano suburbs. When he was 12 years old, Spencer performed in front of his theater class which highly impressed a teacher. The teacher convinced Spencer to audition for their school’s production of Shakespeare’s A Mid Summer Nights Dream and as fate would have it, he got the lead role. The experience awakened Spencer’s passion for acting. He went on the try out and appeared in a community production of Grease.
Later on, Mr. Boldman met a local talent manager and within weeks he was off to LA to appear in such shows as Nickelodeon’s iCarly and Disney XD’s I’m in the Band. In 2009, he landed the role of Jack in the Disney Channel made for TV movie Jack and Janet Save the Planet. In 2010, Spencer began work on the Disney Channel pilot Billion Dollar Freshman as Adam, the teenage bionic super soldier. Also in 2010, Spencer earned his diploma from the Plano East Senior High School in June.
Spencer’s most recent acting credits includes Disney XD's Lab Rats, a live-action comedy due for release this 2012 where he reprises his role as the bionic teen Adam but this time the setting will be in high school. He has also wrapped filming of his big screen debut, 21 Jump Street which stars Channing Tatum with the original TV show star Johnny Depp doing a cameo. The TV show turned movie will hit theaters in 2012.
Furthermore, Boldman is a certified lover of the outdoors. He enjoys hiking, playing lacrosse, football and going snowboarding in the winter. He is also a huge sports fan, cheering for the Texas Longhorns and the New England Patriots. He has one older brother, and he currently resides in Los Angeles.
