Katherine McNamara talked with Hollywood Teen 'Zine about school! Lots of fun things to learn out about Miss Kat from this interview!

What were you most excited about when returning to school every year? Returning to school is always so exciting! I love beginning new classes each semester - its such a nice change. It's also nice to catch up with old friends and make new ones too!

What type of student are you in school? I love school, so I am always a very dedicated and focused student. Getting a good education has always been a priority for me.

What is your favorite subject? I love all subjects - I would have to say math would be my all time favorite! I love how you can clearly see how you got the answer. It's like a puzzle to me!

Who was your favorite teacher?  My favorite teacher was my preschool teacher Ms. Vicki. She took me under her wing and really pushed me to achieve more than I ever thought I could. I owe my dedication and value of school to her.  

Do you have any study tips you could share with our viewers?  Just remember to say focused but don't forget to have fun too! It always helps me to study with a buddy - or even a few! You can study for a while, then take a break, have a snack, then get back to work!

What's the funniest school memory you could share? At the beginning of my 6th grade year, I was very short (I still am now, but that's beside the point ;]). All the hallways of the school looked exactly the same and I was still trying to learn my way around. One day, I accidentally went down the wrong hallway and got lost! I tried to find my way to where I needed to go, but I just got even more confused. Soon, class let out and all of these giant 8th graders started crowding the halls! I was swept with the crowd and eventually made my way back to where I started. I then was able to find my class. I laughed - at least I knew which hallway NOT to go down again! ;]

What are some of your favorite healthy snacks foods? Peanut butter is one of my favorite foods! You can put it on anything - crackers, apples, celery, rice cakes, and even carrots! Frozen grapes and cherries are a sweet treat - almost like little bites of sorbet. I also love to make a mexican fiesta salad with peppers, tomatoes, onions, beans and corn. (I can send the recipe, if you want!)

Do you recall the first thing wanted to be when you grew up?  I have always loved animals, so when I was vert little, I wanted to be a veterinarian! Later, I decided I wanted to be the next Alan Greenspan (a famous economist). However, then I found acting and the rest is history!

What is your favorite type of text speak (LOL, IDK, IKR, etc...)?  I would have to say LOL is my favorite! I love to laugh, so I use it quite often!

Did you participate in any afterschool programs, sports teams or clubs?  I love afterschool programs! I used to participate in Art Club, several choirs, school plays, and much more. I used to be a softball pitcher as well. I have also been a Girl Scout for 10 years now!

Where is your favorite place to shop for back to school?  Back to school shopping is one of my favorite activities! As far as clothes go, I love going to vintage clothing stores. You can always find unique clothes there. Clothes aren't the only school shopping that has to be done. I am a HUGE office supply nerd! I love to go shopping for those items as well.
